Salon

Champagne Salon was founded by Eugène-Aimé Salon. He bought his first vineyard, Le Jardin Salon, which covered just a single hectare, in 1905. The vineyard is located in Mesnil-Sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs region. Since the first vintage in 1905, there have only ever been 37 vintages produced. Unlike many other luxury-cuvée Champagnes, Salon is only made in what are considered the most outstanding years.

The key message of Salon is that it is singular. It was created by one man, using a single grape variety, from a single region, in a single year, resulting in a single great Champagne - Salon’s Cuvée S. The Chardonnay grapes all come from Grand Cru vineyards in Le Mesnil-Sur-Oger in the Côte des Blancs.

Today, Laurent-Perrier, a family-owned company, is the majority shareholder of Champagne Salon. Champagne Delamotte is its sister house and both houses are run by Didier Depond.
