The Last Drop: 50 Year-Old Scotch Whisky and 1950 Cognac

Astonishing…[a] life-remembering dram of labyrinthine complexity.”

The Last Drop Distillers was founded by three of the most prominent personalities in the spirits trade, Tom Jago, James Espey and Peter Fleck. Between them they have worked on and invented some of the most famous names in Scotch whisky and fine Cognac. Together they are responsible for the success of some of the world’s most familiar bottles and brands, including Johnnie Walker Blue Label, Hennessy, Chivas Regal 18 Years Old, Martell, Royal Lochnagar, Imperial Blue, Royal Stag, Chivas Brothers’ Revolve, and The Classic Malts.

With their passion, experience and knowledge, these three veterans have now combined forces to create the most exclusive spirits company in the world – The Last Drop.

After countless years of searching for and uncovering ancient and rare whiskies, they are now blending and bottling, one by one, a few of their favourite casks, all pulled from remote cellars in the heart of Scotland. The results are nothing short of astonishing and connoisseurs around the globe should jump at the opportunity as these are some of the oldest and most perfectly formed distillations in existence.

Currently The Last Drop has released just two bottlings. The first is a one-of-a-kind, 50-Year-Old Blended Scotch whisky, while the second is a sublime, 1950 Cognac. These treasures epitomise The Last Drop’s operational ethos and the company’s devotion to only offering exceptional spirits. The quantities are miniscule, with only 388 bottles of the whisky and 478 bottles of the cognac ever produced. There are now fewer than 200 bottles of whisky and 100 bottles of cognac left available worldwide.

If you were to only drink a single glass of whisky or cognac for the rest of your life, ensure that it is from one of these bottles.
